5th Nigerian States IGR Awards 2024

Established in September 2020, Nigerian States IGR Awards is now in its 5^th annual edition. IGR stands for internally generated revenue. The event seeks to spur a healthy competition among Nigeria’s 37 subnational governments towards transforming their taxation systems and substantially raising the amount that they generate from internal sources, outside the monthly allocations that they receive from the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN). The awards program is held as a nationwide roadshow annually. From inception till date, we have presented this award to the internal revenue service (IRS) of various states across the six zones of Nigeria: Benue, FCT, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger and Plateau (North Central); Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi and Zamfara (North West); Borno, Gombe and Yobe (North East); Lagos, Ogun, Ondo and Osun (South West); Anambra, Enugu and Imo (South East); and Rivers (South-South). The 5th Nigerian States IGR Awards is expected to come up in the last quarter of 2024.
