MEDIA & EVENTS ADVISORY BOARD (MEAB)
From January 1, 2026 till date, the Alford Conferences Limited Media and Events Advisory Board (MEAB) has been chaired  by Malam Shuaibu Shehu Mohammed, a retired Deputy Director at Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN). He is a consultant and resource person in the country’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) space. He is the Founder/CEO of Shizham Integrated Ventures, based in Dutse, Jigawa State, Nigeria. Malam Shuaibu has served as a valuable government relations adviser to our company over the years.

The inaugural chairperson of the board was Dr. (Mrs.) Beatrice Omo-Ikirodah, a lecturer in the Economics Department of University of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria, and a member of the Nigerian Economic Society. She served for two years 2020 and 2021. Dr. Omo-Ikirodah doubles as a Non-Executive Director of Alford Conferences Limited. Dr. (Hajiya) Fadila Sani, a publisher and women empowerment advocate who serves currently as one of the special assistants to the Executive Governor of Katsina State, chaired the MEAB in 2022. Fadila passed on the baton to Ms. Juliet Dangiwa Kyom, a broadcast journalist and media entrepreneur who has worked for over two decades in Nigeria and throughout West Africa, in 2023. Engr. Abel Obakpolor, a tech entrepreneur based in Benin City Nigeria and the Edo State Chapter Chairman of UK-based Vera Gold Foundation, emerged as the Chairman of the MEAB for 2024 and 2025.

The MEAB was established in October 2020 to support the activities and initiatives of the company and its flagship publication, REVENUE Magazine. Membership of the MEAB is open to Nigerians, other Africans, and European professionals in event management, corporate communications, media, MSMEs consulting, tech, banking & finance, academia, and other related fields.
