What We Do

Photo: International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) launched “HortiNigeria” to boost the horticulture segment of the agricultural industry in Nigeria on March 3, 2022 in Abuja. The four years program (November 2021-November 2025), funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, targets four crops: tomatoes, pepper, onion and okra, in four pilot states of the country (Ogun, Oyo, Kano and Kaduna). IFDC entrusted the hosting and publicity of the event to Alford Conferences Limited.

Established in April 2014, Alford Conferences Limited is a global event production company and a consulting firm that advises the public sector of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The company operates in six divisions: event production, government economic development advisory services, corporate communication consulting, specialized publishing, event publicity/event management services, and web design/digital government.

EVENT PRODUCTION
As at today, we have established three events:

  • World Digital Exhibition (WORLDEX), established in June 2020 and now in its 5th annual edition, WORLDEX is a technology trade fair links up Africa more effectively with the global tech community.
  • Nigerian States IGR Awards, established in September 2020 now in its 5th annual edition. IGR stands for internally generated revenue. The event seeks to spur a healthy competition among Nigeria’s 37 subnational governments towards transforming their taxation systems and substantially raising the amount that they generate from internal sources, outside the monthly allocations that they receive from the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN). The awards program is held as a nationwide roadshow annually. From inception till date, we have presented this award to the internal revenue service (IRS) of 23 states across the six zones of Nigeria. During this period, the event has taken us to the IRS of the following states: Lagos and Ogun (South West); Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa and Kebbi (North West); Borno, Gombe and Yobe (North East); Benue, FCT, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger and Plateau (North Central); Rivers (South-South); and Anambra, Enugu and Imo (South East).
  • We plan to birth the annual Nigeria Food Surplus Summit in November 2024.
  • We will add other events to this list in 2025: Accra Business Forum (ABF), Banking & Finance 100 Awards, EMEA Banking Awards, Dublin Digital Government Awards, etc.

GOVERNMENT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY SERVICES
We advise national and state/provincial governments in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) on subnational revenue generation, agribusiness development, tech promotion, export promotion, investment promotion, host country/host state event bidding services, nation/state branding, pan-African economic integration, Arab-Africa trade, Euro export promotion, etc.

CORPORATE COMMUNICATION CONSULTING
We advise governments, companies and other organizations in Nigeria and Africa, on corporate communications and event management. From inception till date, we have served clients based in Nigeria, Ghana, Namibia, Morocco, Italy, France and USA. Our company is the publicity and marketing partner of the annual Digital Africa Conference and Exhibition, now in its 13th edition.

SPECIALIZED PUBLISHING
Established in July 2020, REVENUE supports a rapid and sustainable integration of the 54 economies of Africa. The e-magazine typically recognizes, honours and celebrates excellence, leadership, achievement and good governance in both the public and private sectors of Nigeria and Africa. It is the official magazine of all the branded events of Alford Conferences Limited. Though it is primarily an event-based publication, REVENUE seeks to be a respected editorial voice on the few clearly defined subjects that it covers. The print version of the publication is circulated mainly at our events. The e-copy is uploaded regularly as a downloadable PDF document on www.alfordevents.com. Our company also produces various print publications (event brochures, magazines, in-flight publications, newsletters, yearbooks, etc, for companies and governments in Nigeria and Africa.

Alford Conferences Limited has a rich experience in providing event publicity and event management services to three categories of clients: local clients in Nigeria, foreign clients in Nigeria, and Nigerian clients in foreign markets.

WEB DESIGN AND DIGITAL GOVERNMENT (GURRENDI WEB)
Established in February 2021, Gurrendi Web (expected to be launched as a stand alone company in due course) is the web design division of Alford Conferences Limited. It specializes in promoting digital government in Nigeria and Africa, striving to make the continent the global leader in this tech segment.
